Etymology

Derived from くす【糞・屎】 kusu "feces; excrement; shit" and くぇー kwee, the imperative form of the verb くゎいん・くぁいん kwain "to eat".

Notes

This unique Okinawan expression literally means "eat shit" or "eat feces". It is usually uttered after someone else sneezes to curse away evil spirits, and is often accompanied with a hand gesture wooshing away any malevolent spirit hovering above the other person's head.
