Cognate with standard Japanese こすい【胡荽】 kosui "coriander". Ultimately from Chinese 【胡荽】 "coriander" (cf. Mandarin hú suī; Cantonese wu4 seoi1), reconstructed for Middle Chinese as *hu swij.
