Cognate to Nagasaki, Fukuoka, Kumamoto, Kagoshima (Takarajima & Nakanoshima), Miyazaki, Iwate, Miyagi, Aichi, Gifu (etc.) びき biki; Amami びき biki; North Sendai びっき bikki "frog". Related to Northern Kyushu, Fukuoka and Kumamoto びきたん bikitan; Miyazaki びきたろ bikitaro "frog"; Saga たんなんびき tannanbiki; Eastern and Southern Shikoku おんびき onbiki and おんびきさん onbikisan "toad"; and Okinawan あたびち atabichi, あたびー atabii, and あたびちゃー atabichaa "frog". Cognate to the standard Japanese variant ひき hiki "toad".
