ちょうパー【超パー】

choupaa

Definition

Expression

  1. (Neologism) Literally "super paper". Said when attempting to justify one's loss in a game of Jankenpon (rock, paper, scissors) by pushing the idea that a "super paper" surely beats mere "scissors".

Etymology

The expression was popularized by the character named Lambdadelta in the series Umineko: When They Cry (うみねこのなく頃に), who refused to admit her loss against Bernkastel. The expression is derived from ちょう【超】 chou "super; very" and パー paa "paper".
