Etymology
Derived from うー【大】 uu, a variant of うふ ufu "great; big", and the rendaku form of さき【大酒】 saki "alcohol; sake". Attested as early as in the Okinawan language dictionary (1896), by Masayo Nakamoto, under the spelling うーざき uuzaki.
