ばらざん【藁算】 : barazan | define meaning
- Barazan or Warazan was a system of knotted straw ropes used in Southern Okinawa for accounting and record-keeping purposes up until the twentieth century. It ressembles in many ways the Quipu (or Khipu) system used by the Inca empire in South America.
Derived from ばら【藁】 bara "straw" and ざん【算】 zan "counting; calculation; number".
