Historical Ryukyuan attestations

Konkoukenshuu (1711), "Words of the Royal Palace", records "「むきやび」紙", "「むさじ」御手拭", "「むきやちや」御蚊帳".

Notes

Based on the Konkoukenshuu and Okinawa goten, the form ん n tends to surface in lieu of み mi in instances of prepalatalization. For example, み mi + かび kabi "paper" likely underwent the following shift: /mikabi/ → /mikjabi/ → /Nkjabi/ → /Nt͡ɕabi/, resulting in the form んちゃび nchabi recorded in the Okinawa goten.
