Notes

The gurukun is a species of fusilier fish also known as the Double-lined fusilier fish or Darkbanded fusilier (Pterocaesio digramma). The species is common off the coasts of Okinawa and is considered the region's official prefectoral fish. It bears a vivid turquoise back marked by two light green or yellowish bands, while its underside is white. The fish tends to change to a green colour with a vivid reddish-pink underside when agitated, which can happen when frightened, handled or fished.
