  • Vocabulary of the language spoken at the Great Loo-Choo Island, in the Japan Sea (1818), by Herbert John Clifford, records "Sand. Sínna", "Cover, to, over with sand. Sínna sheeóstang", and "Sand spread on a level plain on which water is sprinkled for making salt. Sínna oóshoo sháee máshoo tátchoong".
