  • Vocabulary of the language spoken at the Great Loo-Choo Island, in the Japan Sea (1818), by Herbert John Clifford, records "Clouds. Koómoo", "koómoo nang, no clouds", "When the sun shines, and there are no clouds, it is fine weather. Teéda téttee, koómoo nang, yaytínchee", and "Clouds obscure the sun. Koómoo teéda oósooóstang".
