ぞなもし

zonamoshi

Definition

Ending

  1. (Rare) An ending used to add emphasis to a phrase or sentence.

Etymology

Seemingly derived by compounding the emphatic particles ぞ zo and な na, along with either the humble verb form もうし【申し】 moushi "to be called" or, less likely, the conjectural adverb もし【若し】 moshi "if, supposing".

Notes

The ending has mostly fallen out of use nowadays and may in fact be pejorative. See also なもし namoshi.

意味:~ですよ、~よ、~ではないですか
